Olin has received an $85.1M contract modification to supply 5.56mm, 7.62mm and .50 caliber ammunition products to the U.S. Army.

The service branch used fiscal 2017 through fiscal 2019 “other” procurement funds to cover the full obligated amount at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Work will take place in Oxford, Miss., and is scheduled to conclude by July 31, 2020.

East Alton, Ill.-based Olin employs 6.5K professionals worldwide and produces ammunition and chemical products such as chlorine and caustic soda, chlorinated organics, bleach, hydrochloric acid, vinyls and epoxies.
