Peter Ohser, a two-decade payment industry executive, has been named president of payment services division at Securus Technologies.

Ohser “is an accomplished executive with considerable experience growing and leading world-class payment services organizations,” Robert Pickens, president and CEO of Securus Technologies, told ExecutiveBiz in a statement.

“Peter will help us with our focus on modernizing government and public payment solutions, which has traditionally been a challenge for both government entities and the public trying to make their payments,” Pickens added.

In his new role, Ohser said he looks forward to unveiling new service offerings that will deliver expanded multichannel payment options, real-time analytics and reporting capabilities and “make payments to government entities as easy as making a purchase online.”

Ohser brings to the company nearly 20 years of experience in business development, risk management, general leadership and strategy.

He previously worked at MoneyGram International, where he served as chief revenue officer for Americas and Europe.

Carrollton, Texas-based Securus provides emergency response, incident management, investigation, biometric analysis, communication, information management, inmate self-service, monitoring and payment processing services for law enforcement, public safety, corrections and other government agencies.
