Executive Mosaic is honored to unveil Scott McIntyre, CEO of Guidehouse, as an inductee into the 2019 edition of Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena. This marks the third consecutive Wash100 award for McIntyre.

McIntyre is the former CEO of the PwC U.S. public sector arm, which Veritas Capital acquired in May 2018. “We are excited to start this next stage of our growth as a standalone company and committed to completing a smooth transition,” McIntyre said at the time. “Veritas is an ideal partner for us, as their continued investment in our capabilities allows us to further our customer- driven mission.”

After the transaction’s completion, the acquired business rebranded in July 2018 as Guidehouse, which offers technology, management and strategy consulting services to defense, national security and state and local government markets.

“Guidehouse clearly reflects the identity, vision and direction of our business,” McIntyre said. “The name and brand embody our core values of helping to drive the mission of government with the laser focused expertise, and our ability to react to the rapidly changing dynamics in the public sector and respond to our clients’ most complex challenges.”

Before rebranding, McIntyre leadership led to PwC and Microsoft expanding their partnership to help customers secure business systems and data with a suite of cybersecurity services. The new offerings covered identity and access management, information protection, cloud information security and other cybersecurity tools.

PwC also established a facility in Israel to support the protection of critical infrastructures, industrial control systems and operations technologies for worldwide governments and multinational companies. The Cybersecurity Center of Excellence intends to provide framework for a comprehensive cybersecurity approach.

McIntyre brings to his role years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, debt and cost restructuring and financial modeling. Prior to PwC, he served as a partner at KPMG serving defense and aerospace, government and industrial manufacturing customers.

He chairs the Prevent Cancer Foundation’s board and sits on the board of the Baldrige Foundation. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington & Jefferson College, a master’s of business administration from Willamette University and a master’s of science from the Johns Hopkins University.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Scott McIntyre and the Guidehouse team for their selection to receive this award.
