The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded Tetra Tech a potential five-year, $51M contract to provide technical and scientific services for the agency's emergency response efforts.

Tetra Tech said Monday it will help the EPA Region 7 team protect the environment and human health in response to a disaster or a critical situation.

The company will provide emergency preparedness, response and prevention, data management, brownfield site evaluation and training services under the Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team program.

EPA's seventh region covers Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and nine tribal groups that altogether compose EPA's seventh region.

The award marks as the fourth consecutive START contract the agency awarded to the company for the same area of assignment.
