The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has collaborated with TWD & Associates to transition a repository of USCIS' electronic data to a cloud platform.

TWD said Tuesday it helped the agency modernize its Central Indexing System and restructure the mainframe application into a microservices-based Amazon Web Services application as part of a cloud migration project awarded through the Joint Engineering Teams-Sustainment contract.

The application, which supports more than 36K Department of Homeland Security users, is designed to integrate with other government systems.

The USCIS project included new database development and interface code rewriting through agile methods, TWD noted.
