Crowe is offering a new platform designed to help public sector users perform tracking, accounting and reporting of government-compliant leases in a streamlined approach.
The company said Monday the public sector-tailored version of its Crowe Lease Accounting Optimizer leverages a financial calculator and lease management functions to help government users comply with Governmental Accounting Standards Board Statement No. 87, an accounting standard for leases.
The tool is designed to track lessee and lessor activities, calculate variable payments, automate transactions, facilitate audit management and analyze leases.
"We developed this tool to provide critical analyses and automate processes to not only help meet the GASB compliance standards, but also assist public sector entities in running their day-to-day operations better," said Tom Reznicek, performance consulting principal at Crowe.
