DZYNE Technologies has landed a potential five-year, $48.9M contract with the U.S. Air Force to further develop an embedded computing system designed to host software applications on board manned and unmanned platforms.

The company will continue developing the Mobile Onboard Nexus for Autonomy and Radical Computation Handling technology under the third phase of a Small Business Innovative Research program, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

DoD added the company will help mature airborne, space and terrestrial ground platforms to accelerate the transition of MONARCH and associated tools to the defense market.

Work under the sole-source contract will take place in Irvine, Calif., through March 27, 2024.
