Leading Technology Composites has received a $50M increase to the ceiling value of an existing contract with U.S. Special Operations Command for the supply of protective ballistic plates.

The company delivers Special Operations Forces Personal Equipment Advance Requirements Tactical Standalone and Modular Supplemental Armor Protection plates under the contract now cumulatively valued at $175M, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Work will continue to take place in Wichita, Kansas, through Nov. 27, 2020. SOCOM did not obligate funds at the time of award.

The command awarded the contract through a process other than full and open competition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Authority 6.302-1.
