Lockheed Secures $846M Award for Navy Weapon System Flight Demo Program - top government contractors - best government contracting eventTYSONS CORNER, VA, March 1, 2019 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will work on the design, development and integration of technologies for the U.S. Navy’s Intermediate Range Conventional Prompt Strike Weapon System flight demonstration program as part of an $846M contract modification, GovCon Wire reported Wednesday.

The Department of Defense said Tuesday the award to Lockheed’s space business covers work on large diameter rocket motors, associated missile body flight articles and related support equipment through Jan. 1, 2024.
