IvySys Technologies has received a three-year contract to support a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency program that aims to detect online disinformation campaigns with the use of technology.

The company said Wednesday it aims to develop quantitative predictive models to illustrate how trending data within an online domain can penetrate into another under DARPA's Computational Simulation of Online Social Behavior initiative.

SocialSim seeks tools designed to analyze online behavior and identify orchestrated misinformation schemes early.

“As recent geopolitical events have evidenced, we need a new approach to accurately analyze and predict the spread of global online information at-scale,” said James DeBardelaben, president and CEO of IvySys Technologies.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command awarded the $1.5M contract to the company under Phase II Small Business Innovation Research.
