Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has introduced its first unmanned aerial target platform manufactured at the firm's new production facility in Oklahoma City.

The company said Wednesday it aims to hire at least 350 design, engineering and manufacturing personnel to help build the MQM-178 Firejet target drones.

Kratos CEO Eric DeMarco noted that the Oklahoma facility will also produce XQ-58A Valkyrie subsonic unmanned aerial vehicles, which the company jointly developed with the Air Force Research Laboratory and flew for the first time at the at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona last month.

The company acquired a controlling interest in Florida Turbine Technologies in late February and subsequently integrated FFT into the Kratos Turbine Technologies division.

According to Kratos, it also opened new locations in Colorado, Florida, Australia, Singapore and Saudi Arabia. The company added it received orders from multiple clients for unmanned aerial target vehicles.
