NASA Goddard Space Flight Center is seeking potential contractors that could build three satellites for the space agency’s new Laser Interferometry Space Antenna.

LISA will measure gravitational waves in space to identify new black holes and other previously unknown objects across the universe, NASA said in a statement posted Monday on FedBizOpps.Â

The space agency is calling on industry to provide capability statements to identify potential contractors that could build two engineering development unit telescopes and one telescope structural or thermal model for the program. The three spacecraft will operate 2.5 million kilometers apart in orbit.

The selected contractors will design, build, test and deliver the satellites and provide all personnel, facilities and support services.

NASA will also seek post-delivery support services for the LISA mission.Â

Interested parties can submit capability statements through April 29.
