Nimbis Services received a four-year, $59M contract modification to continue helping the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory develop a cloud-based microelectronics verification system for the Department of Defense.

The modification, which increases the ceiling value of a $9M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded in 2016, involves an effort to create a collaborative silicon circuit design ecosystem designed to help reduce supply chain risks, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

The project seeks to further microelectronics R&D while evaluating advanced tools for verifying authenticity and reliability.

Nimbis will perform work under the modification in Columbus, Ohio, through June 16, 2023.
