Goodyear Tire and Rubber and Michelin North America have each won a three-year firm-fixed-price contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to supply tires for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aircraft platforms.

DLA received five offers for the fixed-price, indefinite-delivery requirements contracts as part of the Global Tire Program, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Contract will occur through April 4, 2022 in Ohio and South Carolina.

The agency awarded Science Applications International Corp. a separate $900.3M contract in November 2018 to help manage the GTP supply chain for U.S. and international defense customers.

GTP replaced the DLA's Tire Successor Initiative and offers an integrated approach for the supply chain management of military aircraft and ground tires.
