Boeing Supports AIAA Foundation's Science, Engineering Education Program With $1M Donation; Dennis Muilenburg Quoted - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Boeing's philanthropic arm has donated $1M to the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Foundation to support an educational fund aimed at involving more women and minority students in science and engineering learning.

AIAA said Friday it will match the Boeing Charitable Trust gift through the foundation's Match a Million Campaign, which seeks to help potential aerospace students through scholarships, student conferences and design contests.

"Working together, we must continue investing in education to grow the next generation of technical talent," said Dennis Muillenburg, chairman, president and CEO of Boeing.

"Through Boeing's contribution, we're helping more students gain the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in the aerospace industry."

He announced the donation to during the induction event for the 2019 class of AIAA Honorary Fellows and Fellows.

The institute presented Muilenburg its Honorary Fellow distinction at the ceremony.
