Gregory Bloom, former president of aerospace firm Seal Science, has joined Acorn Growth Companies to serve as partner and chief operating officer.

He will oversee the growth of Acorn’s businesses and participate in board efforts on due diligence, integration, optimization and business development, the company said Tuesday.

Bloom holds 28 years of experience in aerospace, defense, finance and investment fields, having formerly led MSM Industries and Strategic Asset Funding Corp. as CEO.

He also supports industry organizations including the Aerospace Industries Association.

“We have reached a point in Acorn’s growth where we need a dedicated full-time partner focused on managing our growing portfolio of operating companies,” said Rick Nagel, managing partner at Acorn.
