In-Q-Tel has invested in and partnered with Outlier to introduce the latter's artificial intelligence-based analytics platform to the intelligence and defense sectors.

Outlier's automated business analysis technology is designed to support operational government requirements for data analysis on-premise and in the cloud, IQT said Tuesday.

Divya Sudhakar, principal of investments at In-Q-Tel, said that Outlier works to help users identify unexpected sequences in data sets and accelerate the decisionmaking process.

“We expect this partnership and other government partnerships to address the need to analyze billions of data points daily and present stories that will help enhance national security," said Sean Byrnes, co-founder and CEO of Outlier.
