ManTech has unveiled a rugged technology built to help military users analyze mission data in real time and at the tactical edge.

The Secure Tactical Edge Platform uses cloud-based microservices and works to deliver information intended for warfighters who perform combat or close-in reconnaissance missions, the company said Tuesday. 

Kevin Phillips, president and CEO of ManTech and a 2019 Wash100 winner, said STEP is part of the firm's Bringing Digital to the Mission strategy.

Phillips added the company seeks to drive technology advancements with the use of open architecture.

STEP is designed to also secure communications through a "cloudlet" that users can link to similar affiliated military cloud data centers for tactical air, naval or ground personnel.
