Christopher Donaghey, senior vice president and head of corporate development at Science Applications International Corp., has become the first member of the board of advisers at Applied Energetics. 

In his role on Applied Energetics’ Board of Advisors, Mr. Donaghey will have significant input into the strategic direction of the company and provide assistance in building lasting relationships in our Defense markets.  

He will provide input on strategic direction and support Applied Energetics in efforts to build professional relationships within the defense market, the company said Thursday. 

“Chris’ extensive managerial experience, leading large engineering and advanced technology enterprises supporting the U.S. military, and his expertise in business strategy and organizational innovation will be highly beneficial as the company seeks to expand its operations and identify new markets and strategic partnerships,” said Brad Adamczyk, chairman of Applied Energetics' board.

Donaghey oversees SAIC's mergers and acquisitions strategy intended to complement growth and value creation initiatives. He joined the Reston, Va.-based government contractor in 2017 as finance SVP.

His corporate career also included leadership roles at KeyW and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Capital Markets.
