MedVed Global and Admiral Engineering & Manufacturing have been selected to receive the Small Business Administration's National Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year and National Subcontractor of the Year awards.

SBA said Friday it selected the two woman-owned companies from a list of nominees submitted by 10 regional agency offices for providing "outstanding" products or services to federal customers.

The agency will present the awards during a luncheon event Monday in Washington, D.C., as part of the National Small Business Week.

According to SBA, small businesses received more than $105.7B in federal contracts during the government's 2017 fiscal year.
