Advanced Technology International has received an other transaction agreement of undisclosed sum from the Naval Warfare Center Dahlgren Division to create and oversee a naval surface technology consortium that will also work to support the development of maritime capacities.

The U.S. Navy will provide funding through the OTA to help consortium members create prototypes that will help address potential maritime threats, ATI said Wednesday.

Academic institutions, nonprofit organizations, large firms and small businesses will be invited to collaborate on the delivery of a range of technology, including big data analytics, digital engineering, asymmetric warfare, surface offensives and human systems integration.

“We look forward to partnering with the NSWC enterprise and the consortium membership to accelerate the collaborative development of innovative technologies needed by America's naval surface forces,” said Chris Van Metre, president and CEO at ATI.
