Raytheon Awarded USAF Design Review Contract to Back GPS Receiver Development - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Raytheon has received a potential $47.7M contract from the U.S. Air Force to conduct a preliminary design review of a next-generation integrated circuit to support the development and testing of GPS receivers for use in future military operations.

Work will occur through December 2020 in El Segundo, Calif., the Department of Defense said Friday.

The Space and Missile Systems Center will obligate $19.3M in research and development funds for fiscal 2019 at the time of award.

The award came weeks after an L3 Technologies subsidiary secured a contract to build and test GPS receivers for the service branch.
