Collins Aerospace has started accepting orders for a new GPS receiver set that is designed to receive Y-Code and Military Code signals and whose anti-jamming features are ten times more powerful than those of its predecessor.
The Miniature PLGR Engine-M Code GPS receiver is an updated variant of the MPE-S unit and is designed to offer reinforced anti-jamming, security and assured positioning features, the company said Monday.
It has met stringent U.S. military requirements and is eligible for export through the Foreign Military Sales initiative.
“The MPE-M is ideal for lightweight, ground-based applications such as radios, blue force trackers, targeting devices, vehicle LRU“™s and small unmanned aircraft,“ said Troy Brunk, vice president and general manager of communication, navigation and electronic warfare at Collins Aerospace.
Collins Aerospace is slated to deliver MPE-M units in 2020.
