ORock Technologies has secured certification from the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program to add the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform to its cloud environment.

The company said Tuesday it will offer ORock Secure Containers as a Service with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform within the ORockCloud, a FedRAMP moderate-certified cloud designed for government and commercial organizations.

ORock Secure Containers as a Service with Red Hat OpenShift is a platform-as-a-service offering designed to deploy containers in hybrid cloud environments and provide continuous monitoring capabilities and additional security controls.

The open source-based Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform allows information technology operations teams and developers to work together through a single system to develop, field and manage applications across hybrid cloud environments.

“As a Red Hat CCSP, ORock has built ORockCloud on enterprise open source solutions from Red Hat, and achieved FedRAMP authorization of its OpenStack- and OpenShift-based cloud,” said Paul Smith, senior vice president and general manager of public sector at Red Hat and a 2019 Wash100 winner.

“By offering ORock Secure Containers as a Service in its FedRAMP Moderate authorized cloud, ORock is further extending Red Hat OpenShift into the Federal government and regulated commercial industries,” he added.
