Booz Allen Report Compares User Experience on Gov't, Commercial Websites - top government contractors - best government contracting event

A Booz Allen Hamilton survey of 1K U.S. adults indicates that federal government websites are falling behind commercial websites in users’ perceptions of ease of navigation and finding information, Federal Times reported Thursday.

Seventy percent of respondents reported visiting .gov sites to search for information, down 8 percent from the number of visitors a year ago and nearly 60 percent said that agency portals should offer functionality similar to .com portals.

The company conducted the survey from Jan. 2 to 7. Booz Allen recommended the government to optimize navigation processes, establish availability of support, integrate form submission capabilities and simplify online search options.
