KBR’s government services business will continue to provide logistical support for the U.S. Army’s prepositioning efforts under a one-year, $45.4M contract modification. The company will maintain, supply and transport items via the Army Prepositioned Stock-3 program, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Work under the modification will take place in Goose Creek, S.C., through Aug. 14, 2020. The service branch will obligate $24.7M in fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.

APS-3 covers equipment and supplies that troops need in order to perform missions. The equipment is placed in strategic locations to reduce transportation time.

KBR provides prepositioned stock services and handles approximately $7B worth of assets for the Army and the U.S. Marine Corps. The company has supported Army prepositioning since 2009.
