Mac Curtis, President and CEO of Perspecta

TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 7, 2019 — Perspecta (NYSE: PRSP) has received new maturity level ratings from assessment firm Atkott under the Capability Maturity Model Integration framework at an appraisal event for its Medicare hosting services and systems as well as program and organizational management processes, GovCon Wire reported July 31.

According to a Perspecta press release published July 30, its Medicare hosting services organization and its Medicare systems organization achieved CMMI for Services Maturity Level 3 and CMMI for Development Maturity Level 5, respectively.

CMMI maturity level ratings are a mechanism to assess a business’ development and delivery capabilities regarding software products and services. It was developed by a combined team of government and industry representatives.

Receiving appraisal for Maturity Level 3 shows that Perspecta’s Medicare hosting services are continually improved and built on industry best practices, while Maturity Level 5 for its Medicare systems indicates they are at the highest level of performance with low risk to program execution.

“We have always been confident in our ability to run a high-maturity center, but this appraisal validates our structure and discipline to provide the pinnacle of performance and predictability to our customers,” said Mac Curtis, president and CEO at Perspecta and a five-time Wash100 winner.

“Both ratings demonstrate our commitment to fully supporting our Medicare customer’s mission,” he added.
