TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 23, 2019 — Perspecta (NYSE: PRSP) has been given a five-year, $162M contract to standardize and maintain infrastructure for the U.S. Air Force’s Secret Internet Protocol Router Network, GovCon Wire reported Aug. 15.
The company intends to improve the classified network’s security and daily operations as part of the Air Force’s SIPRNet Enterprise Modernization program, which aims to provide the service branch with a single platform that is able to defend all bases against cyber attacks, the company said Aug. 14.
He added the company will utilize its talent, processes and technology to support the Air Force in its effort to advance its modernization.
The contract was awarded by the enterprise information technology and cyber infrastructure division of the Air Force's Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Networks Program Executive Office.
