Bohemia Interactive Simulations to Support Kongsberg Products Under New Agreement

Jeff Brody

Kongsberg has partnered with Bohemia Interactive Simulations to build simulation platforms for a family of medium caliber turrets and remote weapon stations.

BISim said Wednesday it will incorporate a software development kit for the Protector weapon system and support Kongsberg’s offerings through the VBS Blue IG and VBS3 tools.

In addition, BISim will carry out development, training and other professional services as part of the agreement.

"We are looking forward to developing our relationship with BISim in order to provide our customers with a full scale of simulation and training solutions,” said Arne Gjennestad, vice president of marketing and sales at Kongsberg.

VBS Blue IG is a 3D whole-earth image generator that works to render sea, land, air and space visuals, while VB3 enables a virtual training environment for mission rehearsals.
