Collins Aerospace and the U.S. Air Force have entered into an enterprise partnering agreement that encompasses sustainment services of the company's aerostructures, avionics, mechanical systems, power and controls, mission systems and interiors businesses.

The collaboration offers an approach for Collins Aerospace's six strategic business units and USAF's air logistics complex branches to implement maintenance, repair and overhaul agreements, the company said Monday.

“This simplified approach to collaborating will enable all of Collins Aerospace’s businesses to better anticipate and deliver on the needs and requirements of this important customer,” said Ajay Agrawal, president of aftermarket services at Collins Aerospace.

The company noted it seeks to undertand the operational requirements for life cycle value stream  management across different product portfolios through the partnership.

USAF will also have to access to the firm's commercial technology and technical data.
