TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 26, 2019 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has constructed an immersive space technology testing facility in Colorado to support military and government clients, GovCon Wire reported Sept. 18.
According to a company statement published Sept. 17, military service personnel as well as Lockheed employees can simulate battle situations, examine and improve existing products, conduct trials of possible cyber attack and defense strategies as well as troubleshoot other multidomain operations procedures at Lockheed’s Pulsar Guardian site in Colorado Springs.
“Pulsar Guardian reflects a new way for space operators to evaluate new systems, changes to existing ones, or train on the platforms they use every day,” said Maria Demaree, vice president of Lockheed’s space division and general manager of mission solutions.
The facility, which also has virtual and augmented reality capabilities, complies with the U.S. Air Force Universal Command and Control Interface standard.
