By Light, FireEye Partner to Expand Cybersecurity Services

Intelligence-driven security firm FireEye has agreed to support By Light Professional IT Services’ cybersecurity portfolio under a new partnership. By Light said Friday that its EmberSec cybersecurity service team will receive FireEye’s support to further study and address customer security needs.

In addition, Embersec will integrate its technical, procedural and tactical insight with FireEye’s expertise to provide technical, managed and governance risk compliance services. These services include vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

Meanwhile, FireEye will provide threat intelligence expertise, research and security products to augment Embersec’s managed detection and response offerings.

Raytheon Technologies' intelligence and space business will award a combined amount of $400,000 to academic partners for artificial intelligence development initiatives that will focus on augmenting military defense systems and continue through 2022. Southern Methodist University and Virginia Tech will receive $175,000 and $225,000, respectively, to develop AI and machine learning technologies applicable to military operations, Raytheon said Tuesday.
