Lockheed Gets $76M Contract Modification for Navy LCS Class Services

Lockheed Martin‘s rotary and mission systems business has secured a one-year, $75.7M contract modification for class services to the U.S. Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship program.

The service branch exercised options for the company to accomplish design, planning and material support for LCS construction efforts, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Work under the modification will occur through October 2020 at various locations in Virginia, New Jersey, Wisconsin and Washington, D.C.

Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate $7.1M in fiscal 2015 shipbuilding and conversion funds at the time of award.

In October 2017, Lockheed and Austal USA received separate contracts worth potentially $1.17B combined to each build an LCS.
