TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 23, 2019 — Serco Inc. received a potential five-year, $49M contract from the  Naval Undersea Warfare Center to provide repair and overhaul support for the antenna pedestal group of the  U.S. Navy's Submarine High Data Rate system, ExecutiveGov reported Oct. 15.

The company said Oct. 15 it will also help the service branch evaluate and restore subcomponents in the SubHDR APG, which allows the country's submariners to transmit video, data and voice communications. Majority of contract work will take place in Ludlow, Mass.

“With many of the SATCOM and radar systems both on ships and shore requiring maintenance and repairs, our teams are hard at work delivering sustainment and obsolescence engineering services that enable customers to extend the lives of existing systems,” said Dave Dacquino, chairman and CEO of Serco Inc. and a former Wash100 Award recipient.
