Attivo Networks has designated ECS a "platinum" technology partner as both companies aim to help government and commercial customers detect information security threats with the use of technology.

ECS said Thursday Attivo designed its technology to deceive and determine the identities of cyber actors via  machine learning-based forensics, analysis, alerts and response mechanisms.

The partnership comes as the Department of Defense prepares to implement the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program, which is meant to unify standards set forth by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the International Organization for Standardization.

“Our focus on machine learning, cybersecurity and innovation is in lockstep with the work being done at Attivo," said George Wilson, president of ECS and a 2019 Wash100 Award recipient.
