L3Harris Technologies has won a potential five-year, $37.5M contract from the U.S. Navy to produce precision aiming lasers equipped with a rangefinder and an environmental sensor.

The company will provide PALs for U.S. Special Operations Command's Visual Augmentation Systems Weapons Accessories program under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Such laser is designed to increase the first-round hit probability of ballistic technology.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, received two offers for the IDIQ via a competitive procurement on FedBizOpps.

Contract work will take place in Londonderry, N.H., through November 2024.

The service branch will obligate $902,451 at the time of award from its fiscal 2019 other procurement funds.
