Kinnami Software has received a contract to further develop its data security technology for the Air Force Research Laboratory and the AFWERX innovation program.

The company said Wednesday it will mature its AmiShare platform under a Small Business Innovation Research Phase I contract to help the U.S. Air Force bolster data protection.

AmiShare helps organizations oversee and audit a connected user's data access. The platform breaks data down for encryption and distribution to servers, cloud and devices.

The approach is designed to protect data even when in transit and prevent unauthorized access.

“AmiShare’s distributed data storage management, versioning, and auditing will help the Air Force better protect against data loss in the event of human error, intentional thefts, as well as ransomware attacks,” said Sujeesh Krishnan, CEO at Kinnami Software.
