TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 10, 2020 — Ravi Ravichandran, a 25-year technology veteran and former director at the FAST Labs organization of BAE Systems' U.S. arm, has been promoted to chief technology officer of the subsidiary's intelligence and security segment, GovCon Wire reported Jan. 29.
Al Whitmore, BAE I&S president and a 2020 Wash100 winner, said in a Jan. 28 statement that Ravichandran will work to expand the company's offerings in areas such as enteprise information technology, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and data analytics.
Ravichandran's corporate career has encompassed prototype development, innovation and transition of products to franchise programs. Before joining BAE in 2006, he was research-and-development manager at Scientific Systems. He received patents and earned recognition in 2012 as Technology Solutions "Entrepreneur of the Year."
