World Wide Technology has teamed up with Dell Technologies to establish a center of excellence dedicated to the creation of open-source 5G deployment blueprints.

The CoE will offer a range of blueprint content services including demonstrations, laboratory use and proofs-of-concept, WWT said Friday.

Dell's infrastructure stack will serve as the basis for the blueprints, and WWT will use its Advanced Technology Center for associated tests.

“As businesses continue to work at unparalleled speeds, organizations must identify ways to simplify and streamline their existing and new networks,” said Kevin Shatzkamer, vice president of enterprise and service provider strategy and solutions at Dell EMC.

The CoE effort aims to help service providers reduce network complexities and allot more focus on core business work.
