Enview has concluded a funding round has raised money to support the development of geospatial data technologies tailored for public sector customers.

The company said Tuesday it will use the funds to further build its workforce and develop products for government entities. BrightCap Ventures led the corresponding funding round with partners Crosslink Capital, Ahoy Capital and Toivo Annus, co-founder of Skype.

Elina Halatcheva, managing partner at BrightCap, said Enview addresses the need to virtually model the physical world.

Enview offers technology that uses artificial intelligence and other modern approaches to automatically map physical infrastructure and terrain in 3D.

“We’re proud to have partners who believe and support the vision of Enview and who are enabling us to meet the demands of the market,” said San Gunawardana, co-founder and CEO at Enview.

The company is also working to help the Air Force Research Laboratory field AI analytics under a government contract and recently worked with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement to integrate automation into 3D GEOINT.
