David Gardner, a former executive at Northrop Grumman, has joined Advanced IT Concepts to fill Gabriel Ruiz’s former role as CEO.

Gardner brings over 30 years of business experience that includes work as the CEO of his own consulting company, AITC said Tuesday.

The sales and marketing expert held roles with CACI, General Electric, NCI Information Systems and SOS International. He also led management consulting services during his time with Northrop.

Gardner said he looks forward to further developing AITC as a performance-based business. The Florida-based small business provides defense entities and other government agencies with information technology systems integration services.

Ruiz, the former CEO, will go on to serve as AITC’s president.
