TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 19, 2020 — Leidos’ (NYSE: LDOS) Dynetics subsidiary is among the three contractors NASA selected to design and build platforms for a mission to land astronauts on the moon, GovCon Wire reported May 1.

The agency announced April 30 its award of separate milestone-based contracts worth $967M combined for Dynetics, Blue Origin and SpaceX to create Artemis human landing systems under the Next Space Technologies for Exploration Partnerships 2 program.

According to a company press release, Dynetics aims to provide a module intended to ferry up to four crew members to and from the lunar surface.
