The Shipbuilders Council of America has appointed Bollinger Shipyards CEO and President Ben Bordelon and Brad Moyer, a vice president at BAE Systems' repair business in Norfolk, Va., as board chairman and vice chairman of the trade organization, respectively.
Both appointees will each serve for a term of up to two years, the council said. SCA represents 40 companies that aim to help military and government customers build, update and maintain vessels.
SCA President Matthew Paxton noted that Bordelon and Moyer will aim to help members advocate for shipbuilding funds and promote worker safety amid the coronavirus pandemic.
