CenturyLink has been named to Military Times’ annual list of top 100 best employers for veterans in recognition of the company’s efforts to provide benefits, programs and support for former military personnel.

CenturyLink’s addition in the publication's “Best for Vets: Employers” list certifies the company’s capacity to implement policies and practices related to the recruitment and retention of veterans while driving efforts to "foster a corporate culture that helps veterans to grow and succeed,” ExecutiveBiz has learned.

Military Times conducted surveys to assess potential awardees and their ability to meet the publication’s criteria.

In addition to CenturyLink’s induction, the company also received recognition from the Oklahoma Department of Veteran Affairs as a 2020 Veteran Employer Champion.

Oklahoma’s VA department evaluated CenturyLink based on its efforts related to recruitment and hiring, onboarding, community support and employee resources.

“We’re proud of our veterans and we’re proud to offer them the opportunity for employment as they enter, or for some, reenter the civilian workforce,” said India Sylvester, chief diversity and inclusion officer at CenturyLink.

CenturyLink has an employee resource group that offers support for veterans as well as active military personnel and allies, according to the company.
