In Sept. 2020, CenturyLink announced its rebrand to Lumen Technologies. Lumen will work under a new focus of how it views the marketplace, advancing human progress through technology. The 4th Industrial Revolution has marked the latest technological shift, and has required companies to acquire, analyze and act upon their data to maintain a competitive advantage.

“All of our futures will be driven by smart things, applications and digital services that use data for transformational purposes. To serve this colossal need and further human progress through technology, we have launched Lumen and are delivering our technology through the Lumen Platform, a platform for amazing things,” said Shaun Andrews, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Lumen, in regards to the company’s rebranding.

Today, Globys has completed the amalgamation of the CenturyLink instances into one SaaS environment that will provide customer-facing capabilities for invoice analysis, consolidation, reporting and payment. The migration will support Lumen’s digital transformation under the new brand.

The move will enable customers to view their product and service usage in near real-time, instead of navigating through multiple portals to review, analyze and pay their bills. Business and government customers will work under a secure login, with a single online instance, to perform critical business functions.

Globys expects that Lumen will be able to reduce the number of calls to the call center for billing and reporting inquiries, as well as the cost of supporting multiple IT systems. The SaaS environment will simplify the process and increase the number of digital transactions for online payments.

"This is a growing trend for carriers as they accelerate their digital transformation processes to simplify and remove friction from their business by providing more integrated customer capabilities online," Derek Edwards, CEO of Globys, said.
