Comtech Telecommunications' mission-critical technologies group demonstrated its blue force tracking equipment during a network modernization exercise held by the U.S. Army.

2020 NetModX participants tested the technology under various real-world scenarios to validate its capability to provide situational awareness during multi-domain missions, the company said Monday.

Fred Kornberg, chairman of the board and CEO at Comtech, said the company maintains its commitment to develop technologies to assist the Army in conducting operations in hostile locations.

Comtech's Mobile Datacom subsidiary offers on-the-move tracking, network services and messaging tools for force tracking, situational awareness and command and control applications.

The Army exercise was held at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey from July 20 to Oct. 2.
