The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded Battelle, Eastern Research Group and RTI International spots on the fourth iteration of the potential five-year, $50M Scientific, Technical, Research, Engineering and Modeling Support contract.

A notice posted Thursday says the STREAMS IV indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract seeks to support the development and assessment of technologies, tools and processes to reduce or prevent water, ground and air pollution and restore ecosystems.

Work under the multiple-award contract could involve a wide range of process development efforts, including pilot-scale investigations and treatability studies; proof-of-concept, bench-scale and laboratory-scale experiments; and field-scale evaluations. STREAMS IV also includes the delivery of technical support to various programs and offices.

The contractor may also be required to build and evaluate computer-oriented tools and approaches such as software, decision-support tools and models, according to the performance work statement.

General requirements include experimental design, preparation of quality assurance project plans, collection and use of environmental data, design, fabrication and operation of environmental technologies, project logistics and waste disposal from field evaluations.
