The U.S. Marine Corps has requested industry for information on alternative facilities that could be used to temporarily host wargames as it works on a new wargaming center at its base in Quantico, Virginia, Inside Defense reported Monday.

“The alternate facility will need to be prepared with the required infrastructure for network connectivity, physical room separation, space configuration establishment and equipment set-up," according to a public notice.

The service awarded BAE Systems, Microsoft and Cole Engineering separate contracts in August to develop capabilities for the new Marine Corps Wargaming and Analysis Center.

The Marine Corps plans to award a contract for the production build of MCWAC's capabilities by the third quarter of fiscal year 2022 and expects the production build to be installed at the alternative facility to support a government acceptance test needed to achieve initial operational capability status.
