Cherokee Nation Operational Solutions has secured a one-year, $42M contract to help the Defense Health Agency prepare military treatment facilities for the implementation of a new electronic health records system.

CNOS, which operates under the federal division of Cherokee Nation Businesses, will support Military Health System Genesis site activities that must be completed before going live with the system, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

The agency awarded the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in accordance with the Small Business Act's Section 8(a) and will finance task orders using fiscal 2021 procurement funds.

A team comprised of Leidos, Cerner and Accenture won the multiyear, multibillion-dollar contract won in 2015 to help the DOD integrate a commercial EHR platform across the Military Health System.

Leidos said last month that 20 MTF commands are using MHS Genesis.
