Magellan Federal has received a new indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to continue delivering Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) & Work-Life Services for the civilian employees within the Department of Defense (DOD) through Washington Headquarters Services (WHS).

“Our team is thrilled to continue supporting the mental health, wellness, and resilience of our DoD Civilians,” said Oscar Montes, CEO of Magellan Federal.

The new WHS IDIQ contract gives Magellan the opportunity to provide its industry leading services in EAP and Work-Life Services to over 500,000 DOD employees and their families. To date, Magellan serves over 15 million total EAP members across 900 active EAP clients and 750 active Work-Life clients.

“Our powerful combination of mental health clinical expertise, digital support tools, and responsive call center services help our members face workplace and personal challenges more effectively, leading to a more productive workforce and happier, healthier lives—our ultimate mission here at Magellan,” Montes explained.

This new contract comes a few months after the company rebranded its Armed Forces Services Corp. (AFSC) subsidiary into Magellan Federal to enable the arm to better communicate its value and differentiation, as well as showcase business capabilities.

“As we transition to Magellan Federal and leave behind the AFSC brand, we will continue to put individuals and their families at the center of our services,” said Montes.
